Ok... this is a short and easy tutorial for how to make a secret char that cannot be selected in the char selection screen, but will still appear as a boss in arcade. It's something that you all might know, but I found it reasonable to post it here.
This is what you need to do:
Let's just think I'll make FG-MSasuke a secret char. Make a screenpack with rows and columns behind the resolution of the screen, rows and columns that won't appear in the select screen. Like this:
Now this is what colors indicate: Purple - Empty slots that don't appear in the char select screen Yellow - Slots with chars that will appear in the select screen Red - FG-MSasuke as secret char
This is how it will look in the select.def
Code
blank char name char name char name char name blank blank char name char name char name char name blank FG-MSasuke blank blank blank blank blank
If you make the cursor not to go over empty slots, there won't be a way to select the FG-MSasuke. When a Ninja falls, another one rises!

One thing must be said though: the char is still selectable if there is a random character select feature in your mugen. If you're lucky enough you can be given the boss character.
