This is a hugely stupid question, but how do you make a char throw another? Ive tried coding, but it never worked for me. Would someone please help me?

well i dont have time to tell you in detail but i will tell you the basics
go to cns in FF Classic
now look at big icons on the top
you will see an icon with 2 persons (1 is upside down), its called throw maker or something
click that, a subwindow will open
now you know who will do the job for you, close it again

for basic throw only
now you need to have 3 anims (and also 3 states) for that
- grab attempt (put red clsn box on the grabbng animelem)
- successful throw (the actual throwing part)
- being thrown (just add your char's damage poses according to the throw, this is usually useless as any other p2 would be invisible during the throw naturally)

now add the sprites
now choose a wide blank space in your cns and put your cursor there
go back to actual throw maker subwindow
choose the necessary anim for throw attempt, throw successful and being thrown anims
align the sprites one by one, the codes on the right will adjust automatically
there are options for sprpriority and velset (when you release control of p2) as well
when you are done, click the insert button and all codes (including the necessary and important statedef where you release control of p2) will be put in your cns

damage is done via the targetlifeadd with a negative value, change it if you want

it should work, p2 is naturally invisible (because you send the p2 into using your own custom state)
there is a way to make p2 visible and even choose how and which, but i wont tell XD
(because someone else here thinks he/she knows how to code a throw, so telling you here would be telling him/her indirectly, that derp)

edit:
lold at myself, i did ended up telling you in detail how to do it XD

Well, it's mostly because the creator didn't add the required gethit sprites properly.
