Mugen_Boy has been locking threads which are no longer of use to the forum. This is a good strategy, but since he is pretty much the emperor of the whole fucking operation, he could just send these to the recycle bin, and empty it. If the site has no recycle bin, then,.....well........fuck the topic. I'd like Mugen_Boy to see this so he can explain through feedback.

I dunno, he's the only one that really cares, and moderates the most sections, so his decisions are his.

Why lock it? (when you can delete it?)

Quote (Gozar)
delete

That... is pretty much the worst thing you can do as a moderator or admin. The threads that are made are part of the history of whatever site your on deleting it is deleting a part of the sites history.

That's a very bad thing by the way it means some of you mods shouldn't really be mods, also Mugen Boy seems to enforce a lot of non existent rules, one of them being the revival of old threads, I've actually bothered to read the rules and there is no rule about thread revivals, yet there are users who are reproofed for that, but it's only some, which means members aren't treated equally, a recent example is of the the users TheBoyMac and Gozar both new members who revived old threads, yet only one(TheBoyMac) received a reproof, that is far from fair treatment.

Most of the things that are being revived aren't really worthy of being regarded as "History"

About rules that are blatantly incoherent and overall useless.

Quote (Shinu)

I admit that I used too enforce this too, but then I realized it was a pointless rule. Would you want 2 threads about the same thing or rather have the old topic revived to keep things neat & organized? is the logic I followed on that.

I think Gozar wasn't reproofed simply on the basis that he was here, then he came back. I'll unproof TheBoyMac, thanks for the alert.

Btw this thread is against the rules as well

Discussion of administration’s (forum administrators’ and moderators’) actions is strongly prohibited in any forums and threads, except for the special forum, intended for the discussion of all aspects of the portal and whole forum work.

But as were on the topic, does anyone else has any questions?

okay i dunno where to start but lets see

his decisions are his.

No actually i do this for improving the conditions of the site. buy cant always login to the site and the main admin i.e mugencharacters can only come on sundays. This leaves to moderators like you and me, but i think since most of the mods are busy or something, they aren't able to completely moderate the sections provided to them.
And since most of the old mods such as konia and singoku are gone, it looks like im the only guy left.
Quote (Shinu)

yes because i dont want any topic to be brought back after several months when there is no one to reply back to it. Also i dont reproof if any thread gets any interest after it is revived.
Quote (Shinu)
yet there are users who are reproofed for that, but it's only some, which means members aren't treated equally

actually before giving reproof, i tell them by pm not to spam/revive threads etc. Ask gozar himself.
Also about the double account of mine. There was one user who was, i think cable_ownz_all. He had made a thread about something but found out that it got no replies. So he simply made another account and posted in his own thread, without telling anyone that he actually had another account, complimenting himself.
Is that fair? No, its simply stupid. So to avoid that, i had to reproof his other account.

I totally admit and accept i was temporarily banned from mugenguild. I'm not proud of that. It is fine to have access to more than one sites permissions. Besides, i like this one better.

Oh, wait, you mean reviving threads. Yeah, not proud of that either.

And speaking of locking/ deleting, i think it would be useful to close this one. It isn't of any use anymore.

I suppose not, but i was speaking of deleting threads in general.

Which is why he should not enforce them.

I realize that, but seeing as how this "special forum" does not exist, i'd just like to bring up my opinions here.

Well let's look at all the threads Gozar revived and all the threads TheBoyMac revived, none of them peaked any interest of anyone, maybe two threads that Gozar revived received another reply beside the one Gozar himself made, also the amount of threads TheBoyMac revived is pretty measly compared to the amount Gozar has and is reviving.

It does not matter what they did with the account, the fact they are allowed since there is no rule against it means you shouldn't ban it unless they break an existing rule.

Your point? It's still a better overall site.

Thus far confirming its total uselessness. Maybe the mugenites there could come here. I'd welcome them all with open arms, no matter if they have raped me to death with insults, because that's how i roll. Mugen boy sent a PM to me about that i was reviving useless threads, but he came across SO much more politely. I like it here. I'm not sure I'll go back even when the ban DOES let up. Thanks for being so sportive, guys. thumb

Because not unfairly banning a member gives this site a bad name right?

What you get banned for? (By the way I'm a regular at the guild and they're a really awesome community).
