| ok after the guide fail and internet fail of telling me how to make long gui appear let me tell you the truth that every one seems confused about. To make long gui and sholong gui appear you must complete all marks in titans trails and the ring of marks in the Archylte steppe - Eastern Tors
this can not be attempt until chapter 11 and up
there is a place in the Archylte steppe - Eastern Tors that has 3 Admanchelid and 2 admantortoise. Behind one of the admanchelid there is a step formation that you can jump up even though the stradegy guide states you need a chocobo to reach it.

make vanille your party leader and have the following
make sure she knows death and that she is a saboteur
equip sprint shoes, Aurora scarf and any other items with the boast synthesis group
equip the malboro wand (this is the best choice sense it has debuffing II and it doesnt provide the 6th atb segment provided by the Nirvana; so you can use death faster)
make sure you have at least 3 TP
then start mark mission 53 as soon as the battle starts summon Hecatoncheir, switch to Gestal mode then send him Hecatoncheir back with triangle/Y. Now repeatedly cast death until the mark falls
when the battle ends you should; if it is your first time doing the mark, recieve a Genji Glove now repeat and you will recieve a Gold Nugget each time you complete it which sells for 60,000. Admantortoise also have a 25% drop rate of Platnium Ingots which sell for 150,000
