How to edit Screenpacks

I want to edit some of the words and colors on the current screenpack I have. I tried using Fighter Factory Ultimate, but that didnt work. Is there a program like Fighter Factory Ultimate but works for editing screenpacks?

if you just want to edit the words and colors open the system.def and play around with that just make sure you make a copy before you start paying around with it
