What about if Elecbyte adds an elemental parameter to the HitDef SCtrl?
It would be cool, some chars may have protection against these elements, or be weak against them (like in FF, where fire elemental monsters absorbs or nullfies the damage of the fire elements, and they are weak against ice element, and viceversa, and versavice LOL).
It shouldn't be that hard to do, it's only a new HitDef parameter, some new constants for default resistances/weakness, and a new SCtrl that allows to modify the constants (like in FFX, when you use NulBlaze/NulTide/NulShock/NulFrost).
This would be useful when making Final Fantasy chars, Pokemon chars, Naruto chars, etc. What do you think?

Heh... You're right.
But it shall be an optional parameter. If ignored, the element would be "none".
Some fighting games I know have an elemental system (SSBB).

EDIT: in Sonic games there are elements too.

But then again, the elemental parameters, if ever applied. Would be only effective with characters which have elemental parameters as well & ineffective against ones who don't have any.

i don't think there are... but i know a mugen based game that has elements
but since the author of that game hates mugen comunities i'm not allowed to talk about his game here or he would stop updating it

The creator would have to add the elemental parameter to the def file and to all elemental based attacks. The idea is nice it just requires a little more work from the creators.

Anyway, renember there's people that may want to edit the chars to add them the elemental parameters.

If that was available then my character, Shou Yagamiru would have around 12 element parameter (one for each element)

LOL that's too much. I only was thinking bout the common elements in all series/games (fire, wind/air, water, thunder, earth, and maybe ice, light/holy and darkness), but not 12. The only thing I saw with so many elements is Pokemon.

lol old thread but yeah this would be cool if it does happened lol

for OP, luffy is immune to electric attacks, crocodile and eneru would be more vulnerable when against their weakness
for pokemon chars, the types would be used

but i think this is possible already for example if someone was going to make a game, (just maybe) he can use a coding system wherein a certain attack from a certain char may hit a char with more damage and does no damage at all to another char
