Hello, I am new here and I need some help programming a custom M.U.G.E.N. I took programming class in high school and am sort of a computer nut who can custom program Windows 7 and yet I cannot figure this M.U.G.E.N. out!
The original idea was to take a pre-made HD M.U.G.E.N. and create custom HD characters and stages for it.
So I downloaded an official 720p HD Class M.U.G.E.N. Here is where the trouble begins...
The menus look great but when I pulled the game up in full screen, instead of making the image bigger to compensate, it simply stretched the image out. I went into the "system.def" ; "config.cng" ; and "fight.(whatever)" files to try and manually change the resolution to 1366x768 (720p HD - My Laptop Native Resolution - 16" screen - Standard 2010 Modern Laptop - Core i5 Processor, Integrated Graphics, Runs M.U.G.E.N. in full screen mode with absolutely NO flaw or slowing of any kind), but nothing worked, it simply kept stretching the images.
Next I attempted a custom stage to try and see if maybe I could at least get an HD stage to function. I uploaded the custom-cropped 1366x768 image into Fighter Factory Ultimate 2.0, and created the necessary files to create a stage (learned from this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh9fdt5Hfys). The tutorial I watched made it look so easy! He uploaded a nice, clean, HD looking picture and then put it into MUGEN without a problem. When I pulled my stage up, the background picture had been zoomed-in on and was pix-elated and messy/blurry.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to actually change the fighting stage resolution so that my HD picture comes in at 1:1 scale, crisp, clear, and perfect? Could anyone even possibly point me in the direction of a pre-made 1366x768 OPTIMAL resolution M.U.G.E.N.; with 1366x768 fight stage resolutions and menu resolutions?
Thank you all for your help!
