Err... I never understood what a "Action Replay" is, and never used it, but if it helps you can use Gamesharks in ePSXe with the PSX Emulation Cheater. Thanks to it I finally entered the Debug Room of FF7.

ohh, an aquaintance of mine use that to bring Aeris back after Sephiroth killed her, he also made sephiroth a playable character...(just took Cloud's place)

Yep, you shall download PSX Emulation Cheater program. It works like a video plugin you add on the emulator, then set on the program the Gamesharks you want, then start.
It comes with a long list of presetted codes, and you can add yours too.

epsxe is a playstation emulator, lol

Cheats shall be hidden in the game, with hard combinations of buttons, and extremely hard conditions, like "beat the game 200 times", so you waste a lot of effort trying to get them in vain, and then you get really mad, so you seek the cheats in Internet. tongue (already suffered it with "Destroy All Humans!").
