Go there for sounds. If not rip them yourself from some games (that's what I do), or look in Google for sound effects of the games you want, sometimes you get them.
And the smoke effect looks too hard to do, since it takes the shape of that... dude.

and for the smoke, do you know of anything at least similar? i would edit and blur it myself. but i am not really a spriter, so I would like to have something to edit from rather than trying to sprite from scratch (it will end up like crap lol)

I think there's not. Still they don't have much, so I simply download everything that sounds well and check around for sounds I could use.

Not anything I know... Not even in Particle are effects like that, I'd suggest messing around with the sprite in Photoshop with brushes or anything that makes it look good, and looking for smoke effects in FX sheets to make the first part, putting some of them together (it seems made like this)

| Do you still need smoke effects and dust effects? =) You are in luck then... I just started making special effects for my game project and made a LOT of 3D dust effects you can have and or use. =) Just PM me if you want them and I will make a zip folder for you of a bunch of dust sprites for you. =) Only thing though, you will need to make all of them transparent. When I make dust effects they are laced on a black cube. The black will be invisible when you set the transparency right and the dust will look great. Including the dust effect you wish to have where the dust comes from both sides. Just make two helpers and have one in reverse.  PM me and let me know if you want them.
