| There're methods for modifying chars so they can act differently in certain stages.
However that's all from the char itself, so the extra functions will only work with these chars fighting in these stages (unless you adapt others).

Basically there are no STAGES like that, like Mg said things like platforms and changing of scenery is all done through character coding.

But Stages That chage Scenery is possible. Their Basically an animated stage.
