Hello everyone,

I am still fairly new to Mugen.

I have been trying to figure out how to make sprites, so far I have learned how to make a base sprite, what spritesheets are (as in a sheet with the characters doing different moves)..

Also whats a good general character size for mugen? I read 140x140 is the maz size?? Does this apply to 1.0?

So how do I take a base character and make it into a sprite sheet? Do I have to draw each pose??

Any help given is highly appreciated, I am making my own mugen game and want to make custom chars that dont have premade sprites. I am extremely dedicated to this project I hope somebody can point me in the right direction.

Edit: Okay so from my online research, basically I have to take my base character and draw them doing a bunch of different poses? Then I use a sprite sheet program and load all the images I made into a sprite sheet? Whats this stuff about headers?

Are there any like, basic sprite patterns I can use to base my sprites and thier movements off of??

Most importantly, what is a good sprite sheet maker program I can use?

I use Fighter factory to do everything related to chars.

Do I have to draw each pose?

Yes, you do. You can also frankensprite, that is , take an arm from a char an add it to another, thus creating new poses.
