only because he had the upper hand since he had the death note. and Light had ryuk, misa and rem on his side, 2 of them are shinigami who know the note's rules, and one was a shinigami eyed death note owner. L had only those useless policemen. all this means that if they were 1 on 1 L would have won.

How can you guys not like Kira from death note and lelouch? Those are great characters!
i agree with buy both kira and lelooch from geass are the most coolest figures as compare to l an death note and shnizel in the code geass specially their intelligancy see the last death note filler manga there is a graph between the abilities of l and kira and kira have the upper hand see
