I open this thread so you newbies in MUGEN see it, and the most advanced too if you want to, but mostly for the newbies. I'll show ya some pics of my new chars:

If you guys want them, you'll need at least 1000 posts, 0% of reproofs, more than 4 years in the forum, more than 10080 meters of height, and to be a war survivor. If you meet all the requeriments, send me a PM. Thanks.

[/fake]

Yeah, as the BBCode says, everything up there is fake. These images are edited, simply some pretty cool sprites (credits at the end), in some random MUGEN stage, with some copy-pasted lifebars. This often happens in some forums (I won't give names -.-), where they ask you for some high requeriments or to help a lot so they give you the chars.
That's a lie. They'll never send them, since they don't exist. This way they fool the newbies in MUGEN, that don't know anything.
Still, there are some details that make obvious the fact taht those images are edited. If you check them before begging for the chars, you'll save yourself some problems. I'll detail some:

- The Time. As you see, Sasuke used Amaterasu, and Fused Kisame already made a water wave, while Pain is doing Shinra Tensei. Hey, not even the CPU manages to maje all that moves in such a short amount of time. Any image with 99 of time is probably a fake. Something similar happens with life.
- The allign. Not only the chars, but the lifebars. If you look closely, a lifebar is a bit more down than the other one, and in the 2nd screen, the chars are not in the same X axis. Yeah, some people doesn't allign the sprites right, but still, if the chars DO exist, they must suck with that allignment -.-
- The size. As you see, the MUGEN of the second pic has a resolution of 480x360. Well, that resolution does not exist. The only working resolutions are the ones multiple of 320x240, that means: 640x480, 960x720, 1024x768, etc. If any image is not proportioned this way, it's a fake.
- The scale. The original size of the char can't stay original if you make the MUGEN window bigger. I mean, if you increase the MUGEN's dimensions, you'll increase the chars' dimensions too, not as in the 2nd pic where they still are normal.
- Something very important: THE SHADOWS. If the chars don't have shadows, FAIL.

That's all I think. If I forgot something, you guts tell me later. Now you won't be fooled easily ^^
Oh, and the sprites were a bit bad, that's why they still have the green spots XD

You know, some stages can have Shadows turned off, so that FAIL is not relevant

You're right with that, but most stages have the shadows on...

Most stages have, but what if the person making the screenshot took it in a stage where the shadows are turned off? You should take that into consideration when judging screenshots (from my previous experience at MUGEN Infantry wacko )

Meh, I'd say that unless there's at least 1 screenshot with Stage0, then there might be a chance its fake. But regardless I never give my hopes up with simple screenshots. Videos would be better in this case. (Kinda.)

Then again if the creator is useing the character for something like gaining popularity than it might not be worth the trouble at all.

char size: that is how chibi chars look in a normal size char stage (zoom things etc.), that fail does not count
