| I intended to make that restricted puppet version before. Actually in the end I wanted that too, but come Satetsu Kaihou coding I guess it was too late. Modifying further would become too taxing on my part.
After I'm done with Minato, I might remake Sasori. I dunno :S

| the restricted version would be amazing and perfect for a mugen environment. I hope you do decide to do it. Sasori has no decent conversions that are balanced in mugen. yours is close but what i said would make it more so and actually playable for a real roster of non cheap chars I can even give you an optional english dub as well as give you the japanese voice of sasori from ninja storm 2 :3 if you consider it.

| Nice Sasori you got there, i just do not know why you can't stay on puppet mode, but its your choice. Also can you provide me the name of the owner of these sprites? Some effects interested me a bit.
I have a unreleased Sasori where you can choose either Hiruko/Sasori/Puppet during intro, and his attacks are full of poison :o (as well he has Att/Def buff).
Had no tested yet due i can't try out there (not at home), btw is the Sandaime hittable?
I think you can make the Sandaime hittable then able to Sasori do some attacks when Sandaime is defeated (coz even a puppet master has punches/goukens due hes a ninja x3) . And you can low the cost of Awakening mode and make it a bit longer than usual if Sandaime is no longer there.
I think you've played a lot PS2 >:3.

I'm actually old (some 2 years now), but I wasn't releasing chars until I realized a few things.
And oh, just for the kicks, Sasori isn't my first character. Temari was, actually. But yes, Sasori is the character I gave my greatest time with;
Building Minato's skeleton took me 2/3 a day (lulz), Building Temari's skeleton took me a week (it was my first time) Building Sasori's skeleton took me three months The entire mechanism was difficult to develop. I mean, those were solid three months of repeated ChangeState loops. lol

Uh, for the sprites it's from Neimad. Some came from open-source PCX's that I got, some were made myself (Satetsu Kaihou and Satetsu Shigure shards were some of those), and some came from an old friend (the human puppet sprites).\
Ja, Sandaime is hittable, but indestructible. You can use him as meatshield, but be warned; once either Sasori or Sandaime is hit, the entire attack string is cancelled.
And yes, I played a lot of PS2. If you noticed the Satetsu Shigure chakra attack it was duplicated just how the way it works on PS2 XD

Actually it's a mix, lol. I took the Awakening system from UNS2, and most of the combos are replicated from NA2.
