i worry about the legality of the characters that used with mugen engine
are gamers designed characters legal to be used
like street fighters / mortal komat / capcom / mario / dragon ball / marvel characters are legal to be used
or need a permission of their companies?
what comanies permitt to use their characters without troubles of copyrights?

waiting ur answer to start collecting characters.......

Oh well...
MUGEN is a fanmade game
A NON-PROFIT game

So long as people don't sell Mugen or gain money from it in anyway, it's ok for the companies

It's a fanwork, it's not illegal

That should answer any questions regarding legality.

Things change I guess, the companies weren't uptight about it when i sent them an email on said topic

Truthfully, I'm more concerned about Electbyte, the guys who made the Mugen engine
Why did they suddenly disappear? Was it really because of copyright issues

Electbyte should really have nothing to be afraid of since all they did was make a fighting game engine. They did not produce any characters from any company.
